Writing your values statement


In this exercise we will form a statement that showcases your behaviours and values.

Step 1 | Drafting the statement

To draft the statement follow these steps:

  1. Read the the behaviours and values that are listed on your personality profile.

  2. Write down the key phrases and words that you agree with and you feel really represent you.

  3. Then form these into a draft statement that really showcases your personality to an employer.

Here are some examples to get you going:

“I am an independent and diligent individual allowing me to show strengths in working solo if necessary, but also in a team. I have fantastic communication skills and feel confident talking to new people.

“I am a hardworking individual. I apply myself to the task at hand no matter what the situation. I have resilience and ability to keep calm in my working environment…”
